Am I a Barbie???

People call me Barbie. But am I really a Barbie??? If I was a Barbie I would always look perfect. My makeup would be flawless and I would always look put together. When I walked out the door I would look like that. I would have a goregeous Ken and drive an adorable pink car. I would wake up looking like a model. I would have castle esque furniture to use. Oh how I wish I was a Barbie. I do take it as a compliment when people call me such. Maybe in my small way I appear to have it all together. Maybe they are inspired to put effort into the way they look. I am a Barbie and proud of it.
I must admit I am discouraged. I know you are out there dear readers. Let me know you exist. If you comment it will lift my spirits.
yours truly, FF

Style icons

I'm going to be doing a blog series about my style icons past and present. Please comment with your opinions or if there is anyone who you want me to include. First I'm going to start with the original blonde... Marilyn Monroe.
Though Marilyn is famous for her risque photos she revolutionized style. Her iconic sparlkle brought glitz and glam to hollywood. She bought many styles into the spotlight and showed it was ok to show some skin. Also her hairstyle started a trend that swept the nation. Enjoy the photos!!

Lust item

I juat spied an item on www.sephora.com that I need to have. The only problem is the price $249. It is a splurge. I will wait for it to go on sale and then snag it up when it does. It is so stunning and I have to have it!!! Make up forever liners are the best which is why I'm so excited. Since it is a Christmas gift item it will go on sale soon. I'll be waiting...

Makeup Gurus

Besides fashion one of my other favorite hobbies is makeup. One of the things I love to do in my free time is watch makeup videos on you tube. They are so fun to watch and give great tips and product advice.
My all time favorite guru is meganheartsmakeup she gives great makeup advice and is really funny and geniune. So if you have a youtube account please subscribe to megan and watch her great videos.
Sorry for the short post I'm heading out the door.

What's in a brow

In my opinion one of the most important features of one's face is eyebrows. They frame the face and can make or break your look. My mother works at nordstrom at the Anastasia eyebrow counter and was trained by the brow expert herself. This prompted me to ask for the Anastasia brow kit for Christmas. Before Christmas I had been doing nothing to my brows because my eyebrows were fine as is but now since I have been doing them my face looks more symmetrical and put together. Now I love my brows!!!!!

"Being a Hepburn in a Hilton world"

How can one be classy in a tacky society. I go to the mall and see girls in mini skirts and tube tops showing their thong to the world. I go to the grocery store and see girls with caked on makeup and covered in glitter. Girls in my class read 17 magazine and think they know everything about fashion. My new years resolution is to be classy and put together where ever I go. I will wear my pearls and not be afraid to sport a pair of heels. I will not dress like every other teenager. I will bring class to my school like the queen of class herself.

Sale and Super drugstore mascara

So just a quick post until I have time to do a christmas haul post.
One of my favorite stores LUSH is having a amazing online after chritsmas sale. Check it out!!!
http://www.lushusa.com/shop
On a completely different note I just got a really great drugstore mascara it is by far one of the best mascaras I have used. It is the loreal paris telescopic explosion mascara. I was ready to buy the givenchy mascara that had a circular brush becuase it was the only one on the market and seemed really cool. The only reason I had been holding off on it was because it cost $28, quite pricey for a mascara. Once I saw loreal had released a circular mascara I headed right out to buy it and was quite impressed. It only cost $5.99 and lengthens my lashes more than any other drugstore or high end mascara I have ever used. If you are looking for a great and inexpensive mascara give it a whirl.
Take a look at a photo to see how similar they are. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3582/3563768918_7244863594.jpg

I'm still alive

I'm still alive. I want to apologize for not posting in forever!!!! I have been so busy with plays, school, Christmas ect.
So enough with the excuses on to the good stuff.
I have a perfume problem. I love perfume!! The problem is that when I go to the store I always make an excuse and never buy it. I always find a different way to spend $60+. When I finally get up the courage to buy a perfume I love it and wonder why I waited so long. My current favorite perfume is daisy by marc jacobs and I wear it every day. One of the reasons I love perfume is the pretty packaging that looks great on my vanity. Also for my birthday I got a vintage perfume bottle that I adore. So one of my new years resolutions is to buy more perfume and not make excuses. Here are some I want:
DKNY be delicous
miss dior cherie
viva la juicy
dolce and gabana light blue

guilty foods

Some foods completely throw off my dieting!
aka- starbucks, french fries, ice cream.....
Picture this: I'm walking in the mall and am so thirsty. I walk into starbucks intending to buy an iced tea but instead I come out with a frap. I gained 1 lb and lost $4. Lose lose situation. Why can't I just resist?

Trends I cannont stand cont.

Brand name screen t's- Some of these are ok as long as THEY ARE NOT THE ONES THAT EVERYONE HAS aka abercrombie hollister aero ect. "I'm a walking billboard. I paid $30 for this cheap cotton t so that everyone can see I wear abercrombie." I mean come on seriously.
mini skirts- Sometimes these are okay depending on the skirt. Many of these mini skirts (denim especially) are skanky and not classy. Even though you think your cellulite butt and cheap thong is hot doesn't mean the world wants to see it.. COME ON LADIES GET SOME CLASS!
clothes worn out of season- This is just a pet peeve of mine when people wear uggs is summer or flip flops in winter. These clothes are made for a praticular season for a reason but if you want frostbite toes in the winter and smelly feet in the summer than be my guest.
Sorry mini rant I'm done now....

Trends that bug me

There are a couple of fashion trends that I just cannot stand:
leggings- I do not like these. A lot of people do and I am not trying to offend you by saying so just because it is my personal preference. The main reason I do not like them is because people do not wear them right. Also some people wear them that do not have the right body type for them. Not to mention leather, gold and neon leggings....barf.
huge gladiator sandals- I think these look well midevil. I like the tiny ones but the ones that go up to people knees make them look like they are off to war.
More trends later

Closet

Right now my closet is nothing special... just shelves. One day though I want a closet that looks like a french boutique. That is my dream and I will drive a crappy car if I can have a fab closet. Does anyone else dream of a closet fit for a princess? Am I alone in this secret longing of mine?

Back to school!?!?!?!?!?!

As bummed as I am that summer is coming to a close there is nothing I enjoy more than back to school shopping. I love online shopping for finding back to school clothes and these are my favorites:
http://www.rugby.com/default.aspx?camp=AVEA_SEARCH_GOOGLE_ExactBrandRugby
http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Feature_Assortment/NewArrivals.jsp?srcCode=GGBrandExact_045685&noPopUp=true
www.abercrombie.com
This is where I shop for clothes for BTS. They are not expennsive because even though we like to look fab for school the clothes are recked by the time first semester is over. So why would someone waste all that money... I only splurge for non-school clothing.
Acessories are a different story I spend a lot on acessories because they do not take as much beating as clothes do. I just splurged on a marc by marc jacobs tote and am planning to get a hermes twilly.

Hello fellow fashionistas

Hi everyone! I'm a teeen who lives and breathes fashion. I am not one of those spoiled kids who gets everything they want. I have a job and work for every piece in my collection. Now that we have that cleared up let's get to the fun part....FASHION!
